Enter the Starting Point
Start with the essentials. Add optional detail when it materially affects the plan; advanced assumptions can wait until you need them.
Add the income, spending, pensions, investments, property, other assets and debts that matter to the plan. Enter spending directly, or use Spending Builder or local file import to speed up setup. Include the terms needed to project loans and pensions. Do not enter pension contributions again as separate expenses.
Use each item’s own currency where requested. Styrvia converts values to the base currency while retaining the original currency.
See what is driving the household
See what carries the plan before you model a choice.
Use the four composition views—net wealth, annual income, annual spending and debt outstanding—to see what is carrying the household before you model a choice.

Model future events and options
Add future changes you already expect to the plan, and use scenarios for alternatives you still want to compare.
Add future plans and test scenarios
Use Future events for dated changes you already expect or have committed to, such as a move or career break. Use Explore for choices you are still considering. If an income or recurring cost simply starts or stops, use the dates on that item.
When a choice becomes expected or committed, record it as a Future event. Planned Future events stay in projections; Mark happened moves the recorded effect into Starting Point once, and Remove cancels it.
Read the result
Start with the consequence, then open the detail when you need it.
Read the results in order
Ask four questions first: What changed? Is the reserve maintained? How is the plan funded? What is the main trade-off? Then use Analysis for deeper comparison, composition, allocation and reports.
Stress & verify
For market-exposed plans, use Market simulation or Past-market test and check the assumptions behind the result.
Stress-test uncertainty
For market-exposed investments or funded pensions, use both Market simulation and Past-market test to see how the plan behaves under uncertainty.
The Early Access build includes maintained history for Past-market testing and supports custom history for up to three investments. Long-run custom analysis requires at least 20 calendar years. See Data & sources →
Review assumptions and reference data
Check the assumptions and reference values that matter to your plan. Historical data supports conversion and stress testing; your forward assumptions stay under your control.
Reference data. When online, use Check for reference update. New reference data stays separate until you review and apply it.
Commit & protect
Record an expected or committed change as a Future event, then keep an encrypted backup of the plan.
Keep the choice you make
Scenarios are reversible what-ifs. Future events are changes you already expect or have committed to. Mark happened moves a completed Future event into Starting Point once.
Save and back up
On a private device, Styrvia keeps a local working copy in your browser profile. Save and Save as… create a separate encrypted .styrvia file for backup or transfer. Keep the file and passphrase safe; Styrvia cannot recover the passphrase.
