Why I built Styrvia
Big life decisions deserve a proper tool.
I grew up seeing what financial uncertainty looks like. My mother raised the three of us alone and often reached the end of the month with no money left, despite working long shifts as a surgical nurse.
Years later, I began seeing very different kinds of financial problems. Friends and family with good jobs and some savings still struggled with questions that did not have simple answers:
Should I buy or rent?Should I repay my student loan faster or invest?Could I build an easier life somewhere else?How long would my savings last if I lost my job?
Financial modelling can help answer questions like these. But the kind of modelling used professionally is usually built for companies, advisers or people willing to pay substantial fees.
Why flexibility matters
My own finances became the kind of case that ordinary planning tools make awkward. Working across countries can leave pensions, currencies, start dates and tax assumptions on different timelines, and a single-country retirement template can stop being enough.
That experience shaped Styrvia: one household plan for adults, pensions, currencies, assets, debts and dated Future events, with the assumptions visible.
I built Styrvia to make this kind of financial modelling accessible to households, not only professionals. Styrvia Personal is free for personal use, and your plan stays on your device during normal use. Styrvia compares the paths; you decide what fits your life.
